Photographic Society of America
The Photographic Society of America (PSA), founded in 1934, is a world-wide organization providing abundant resources for photographers, from the novice to the professional. PSA offers online learning, webinars, study groups, competitions, mentors and consultants. Membership is in over 80 countries, 5,000 members, 460 Camera Clubs, and 11 Chapters across the United States. The Puget Sound Camera Club is a member of the PSA as well as many of our members.
Northwest Council of Camera Clubs
The NWCCC is a non-profit association of camera clubs in western Washington State. The Council provides a network to share photographic expertise, promote regional competitions and communicate education opportunities. The Puget Sound Camera Club is a member of the NWCCC and actively participates in council activities and competitions.
Seattle Photographic Society
SPS is another member of the NWCCC and is "a friendly group of supportive amateur and professional photographers. We strive to build both our skillsets and our community through image critiques, discussions, lectures, demonstrations, field trips, friendly competitions, and intra-club activities." SPS and PSCC have had a close relationship for many years and have a number of people who belong to both clubs.
Northwest Nature & Wildlife Photography
A Meetup group based in Mukilteo, Northwest Nature & Wildlife Photography is a group to "share nature, wildlife and photography, photographic learning and outdoor outings."
North American Nature Photographers Association
NANPA provides information, education, inspiration, and opportunity for all persons interested in nature photography through tools and principles that include ethics, conservation, advocacy, education, and networking. NANPA offers a number of inexpensive Regional Events that allow photographers to meet up in terrific locations led by experienced leaders. Many of our members also belong to NANPA.
Photographic Center Northwest
"PCNW is a place for everyone to explore the photographic arts. We promote lifelong learning and creativity through resources and programs that inspire and empower." PCNW has a wide range of classes and workshops covering all aspects of photography.
